Julianne has over 35 years of experience working in the legal industry. Before that, she worked in the medical field as an office manager for several medical practices in Charleston. Since joining the legal field she has previously worked as a legal assistant in banking and business litigation, commercial litigation, professional liability, probate and estate planning, and medical malpractice. In addition to her duties as office manager Julie is in charge of all billing, putting her in contact with clients on a regular basis. A large part of her job is assisting Ms. Bluestein in handling fee disputes for the 9th Judicial Circuit and also assisting in the planning of social events for the Charleston County Bar Association. In addition to working as a legal assistant, for 31 years Julie served as Executive Secretary for the Charleston County Bar Association. After several years of retirement from the legal industry and the Charleston County Bar Association, she returned to work for Bluestein & Douglas.

Originally from Marion, South Carolina, Julie attended Columbia College, majoring in business. She has been a resident of Charleston for over 50 years and now lives in Mt. Pleasant. She is the mother of three beautiful daughters, two granddaughters, and one grandson. Upon moving to Charleston, she became active in many organizations, serving as President of the Charleston Junior Women’s Club for two terms and remaining a member for over 14 years. She also served as a guide to many house tours during that time and was instrumental in helping start a hearing testing program for schools in the outlying areas. She enjoys all forms of art and cultural events, as well as traveling, her favorite destinations being California, London, France, Italy and Cuba. She enjoys decorating and is an avid movie fan.
